STAIN REMOVAL

MonsterClean technicians are well-versed in advanced and specialized spotting techniques.

You can expect to receive up to 30 minutes of advanced spotting as part of your service at no additional charge.   Spotting in excess of 30 minutes is billed at $15.00 per 10 minute increment rounded UP to the nearest increment.

We want to save you money, so we will work only as long as we are making progress in our attempt to remove a stain, or until you say stop.

While we cannot guarantee that every stain is removable, we can assure you MonsterClean will exhaust every tool and technique at our disposal to correct unsightly discolorations in your carpet as part of our service.

Spills on your carpet and upholstery can become permanent stains unless action is taken quickly.   The longer the delay, the higher the possibility of a spill becoming a permanent stain.

  1. TAKE ACTION QUICKLY
  2. If it's a dry spill, the spill should be scraped up with a blunt object and then vacuumed to lift and remove as much of the remaining substance as possible.
  3. Then dab (don't rub) a small amount of spotter to the spill with a white cloth (mix 1 teaspoon liquid dish detergent into 1 cup warm water).
  4. Blot the spill with a dry, white, absorbent cloth. Blot from the edges of the spill to the center to prevent the spill from spreading. Repeat steps 1 & 2 as necessary.
  • Do not scrub the area. Scrubbing may cause fiber distortion in the affected area.
  • Have a spray bottle of clean water to remove any excess residue.
  • Spray on the area and blot until all is absorbed into the cloth.
  • Keep damp to touch not saturated.
  • THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
  • A stain is a discoloration caused by chemical reaction or by penetration of discoloring material into yarn's dye site.
  • Spots are discolorations that have added color to your carpet may require a color removal process for correction.
  • Color loss stain (bleach, fading, etc.) may be addressed in some cases by a spot dye process or by replacing the affected area of carpet with a carpet patch.
  • Urine spots in nylon carpets are often removable, but can be permanent. The longer the urine spot is left un-remediated, the larger the likelihood that the spot will become permanent.
