MonsterClean has been cleaning and caring for our customers fine upholstery for more than 10 years now. Our technicians are certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification as technical experts in the care and cleaning of your fabric covered furniture.

There are a great many fabrics and materials used to cover (upholster) furniture. Each material, and the way it is woven warrants a different approach to safe and proper cleaning.

Your fine fabrics are safe with MonsterClean! Fine upholstery may have any of a large variety of fabrics types and construction. MonsterClean is perfectly equipped & well-versed in the cleaning of fine fabrics. We will select the technology best suited for cleaning your particular fabric and match detergents to the exact fabric in your upholstery.

Some of the fabrics we commonly clean are microfiber, cotton, rayon, and polypropylene.

We do not clean silk furniture, or fabrics that contain silk.

MonsterClean is a CleanTrust certified firm, trained to clean your upholstery in accordance with the IICRC S300 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Upholstery Cleaning.

 

We only use techniques and cleaning solutions approved for use on fine upholstered furniture.

MonsterClean employs agitation and grooming tools as part of the cleaning process that are specifically designed for the delicate weave of your fine upholstery fabrics.

MonsterClean technicians know that the fabric, weave, construction and “cleanability” of furniture upholstery differs greatly from carpeting, so they thoroughly inspect and test the fabric first to determine the safest and most effective way to clean it.

Any potential cleaning difficulties will be explained to you before we begin.

Almost any piece of upholstered furniture can be cleaned by a professional.  The cleaning codes in the chart shown below are directed at the homemaker.  Manufacturers are OVERLY CAUTIOUS, and assume cleaning will be performed by  UNTRAINED laypersons.  I can gaurantee you MonsterClean will not damage your furniture and will select the very best method for your particular fabric.

CLEANING CODES FOUND ON UPHOLSTERY LABELS, and their meaning
(Serves as a guide / professional cleaners proceed with caution)

CODE  RECCOMENDED CLEANING METHOD
DC Dry Clean Only.
S Clean only with dry cleaning solvent. Do not saturate. Do not use water. Pile fabrics may require brushing to restore appearance. Cushion covers should not be removed and dry cleaned.
SW Spot clean with upholstery shampoo, foam from a mild detergent, or mild dry cleaning solvent. Do not saturate with liquid. Pile fabrics may require brushing to restore appearance. Cushion covers should not be removed and dry cleaned.
W Clean only with water-based shampoo or foam upholstery cleaner. Do not over wet. Do not use solvents to spot clean. Pile fabrics may require brushing to restore appearance. Cushion covers should not be removed and laundered.
X Do not clean with either water- or solvent-based cleaner. Use vacuuming or light brushing only.
